Q. When will the season start?
A. The season will start in late March and run through the end of June.
Q. When are the games played?
A. Teams in most divisions will play every Saturday. Generally, younger players (ages 3-8) play earlier in the day. Older players (ages 9 and up) can play as early as 9:30am to as late as 5pm. Teams will also play a handful of weeknight games during the season. We will try our best to create a consistent schedule (playing on the same night of the week), but can not make any promises. Each team will have approximately 13 games scheduled during the course of the season.
Q. Where are the games played?
A. Players between the ages of 3 and 9 (our Yellow, Orange, Red, and Green Divisions) will play their games at Fords Middle School. Players older than 10 (in our Blue, Silver, and Gold Divisions) will likely play their games at Bowtie Field (in Port Reading), Woodbridge High School, Warren Park and Merrill Park.
Q. When will my team practice?
A. Practice days, times, and locations are set by each team's coach. Generally, we ask coaches to do their best to set a consistent practice schedule. If your child is placed on a team where there is a schedule conflict, please let us know and we will do our best to find a team where the schedule is a better fit for you.
Q. How much does it cost?
A. The registration fee is $80 for the first child, and $60 for each additional child (must be a brother or sister to obtain the family discount).
Q. What's included in the registration fee?
A. The registration fee includes a full uniform (socks, shorts, jersey) as well as a trophy at the end of the season for players in the younger divisions and a participation award (bags, shirts, etc.) for players in the older divisions.
Q. What do I need to provide?
A. The only requirement is to make sure you child wears shinguards to every game and practice. We also recommend your child wear soccer cleats and bring a soccer ball, but those are not required. Players in our Yellow and Orange Divisions will use a Size 3 soccer ball. Players in our Red, Green, and Blue Divisions will use a Size 4 soccer ball. Players in our Silver and Gold Divisions will use a Size 5 soccer ball.
Q. When will I find out what team I am on?
A. Coaches will receive their roster in mid-March and will be asked to introduce themselves to players and parents by phone.
